We need waaaay more COOP missions. I know we have a mission editor, but many of us just don't have the time or editor knowledge to create good coop missions. It could even be released as periodic mission packs from ED, not necesseraly in a patch...

I play almost exclusively in COOP with friends, and it can be very time consuming to create your own missions, but with a little knowledge of the editor it's quite easy to convert all the SP missions into multiplayer COOP.

I think it needs dynamic in cockpit shadows and also, it'd be nice if when the mouse hovers over a medal, it told you what you got it for. I have several medals but no idea what most of them are for. Are they based on points or achievments?

Also AI behavior to be more realistic, to behave as a helicopter is attacking them. Also the infantry to try and flee the area. Also if possible to abandon their tanks or whatever seems realistic to such situations.

AI is pretty terrible really. I mean if I was humping through the bush and my mate exploded in a pink mist, I would probably not go "huh? oh well, keep walking, maybe it won't happen to me." Self-preservation instincts really shouldn't have to be programmed by mission editors, there should be default behaviours in the absence of specific orders.

I wish there was some way to code that when vehicle traveling cross country can either fjord over water that is easy to go over or it finds a way over the water, say, by travelling to the nearest bridge and going over that way. Or code in the portable bridges so that units can continue over the water, using a trigger to initiate the bridge.

I wish for airfields and towns in Turkey part of the map. That would open up a new front and various possibilities.

I would also like the Crimea back.

Also please can AI have actual formations depending on space available? So far it seems tanks only advance in close-knit column (trail) formation, I can't see how the rear tanks fire on the enemy.

pertaining to the use of FF and Non FF joysticks.

http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=635731&postcount=45

2 options in game somehow. flight characteristics for non FF and FF sticks. even if it strays further from reality. Personally having a non FF stick has instantly taken this sim out of a complete reality anyway. So to have the sim adjusted for the fact we dont all have FF sticks would be welcomed by me immensly. and im sure other non FF stick users might think likewise. i know this means a simplification to the sim for us non ff users. The work load we have at present is one thing but adding to that for non FF stick users is just too much.

I propose that when a non FF stick is trimmed in flight, to change that cyclic input the user should match where the stick is trimmed (much like the FF users stick remains in position) before the cyclic engages to provide new input parameter. thus with a non FF stick we can imitate the use of the FF sticks where this sim is concerned.

I wish the options in the mission editor to allow or disallow external views for enemies/allies only will get fixed and work as intended :)

Further I wish the alt+F1 HUD view would not be included in the 'no external views' restriction.

My two cents :)

After playing the campaign i come to the conclusion that a Dynamic Campaign is a must.

- Soldiers can enter houses, buildings, dug-in positions and bunkers and shoot from there

- friendly FAC can designate those targets to the player conducting CAS

:)

Second that. To receive datalink targets from FAC or ground forces if possible, is it possible in RL??

Sure it has been asked before but I'm not going to read the 48 pages of this thread!

As far as I know wear and tear is not modeled in BS. I personally would love to be able to fly the same chopper throughout a campaign and see the effect of how I treat my aircraft over time. Similar to the approach of A2A simulations and their Accu-sim technology:

I wish there was a feature when setting up aircraft in the mission editor, if you set them to escort, you can choose the flight they are to escort and the AI immediately has a routine to go escort and do the escort job for the flight they are escorting and use the same WP's already set up for the flight being escorted.

I also wish that if an airfield is attacked it show physical damage and cannot be flown from except by rotor wing if damage allows.

Has there been talk about a co-op campaign?

That would be sublime. I play both pc and console games and co-op campaigns is one area that the console has most pc games beat.

Has there been talk about incorporating a co-op campaign at all? I'd love to be able to complete the game with a buddy.

+1

Making two-player coop-variants of most missions should not be much trouble, and atleast me and a friend of mine would appreciate. This is one area that original LockOn was lacking, there just isn't lot of play as two player coop

OOoooooohhh the Sea Harrier FRS.2 (FA.2)

http://www.wingweb.co.uk/aircraft/Harrier_VTOL_Jump-Jet_part3.html

Single seat, AA capability (including TWS and AMRAAMS), AG capability, carrier borne, V/STOL for dirt strips in Georgia.

Limited but effective, with (I presume) quite a lot of declassified technology.

EDIT:

I know that the wingmen AI is being looked at, but please can we have more informative radio calls?

For instance, instead of simply 'Tally bandits', we have; 'Bandits, 3 o'clock, Su-25 two ship, 2km'

And when engaging ground targets, instead of just 'missile away' a target type is called, for instance; 'Two - Missile away, Igla MANPAD, 4.5km'

I just think it would help with co-ordinating missions as the formation lead, as well as adding immersion. After getting wacked a few times by Su-25's it'd be nice to get some warning - if not from the mission brief, observers on the ground or AWAC's at least from the Wingies who spot them. As for the ground target being stated it would help a hell of a lot with situal awareness following the Engage Air Defences command, and many others.

Regards! MM

in-game leg strap clipboard for checklists with editable content like the one in "falcon 4.0 allied force”.

I've seen people request this sort of thing several times now. You do know that there is a solution, right? During the briefing take a notepad and a pen and wright down the information you need. Then simply place the notepad on your lap and refer to it in-flight as necessary.

Problem solved. :smartass:

With regards to the above that's what I do Newt, but i'd prefer a formal briefing done how the RuAF do it (ideally that is printable).

I have no idea what the briefings are like in RL, just would like to get as close as possible. If they are like the ones in game then great! All that's needed is a larger map (tiny on my screen).

What's the excuse for having to scribble down notes on paper? Surely there must be a better way... if only there was a magic box that was able to "think" very fast and special "instructions" that could do mundane tasks for the user of that box. Oh well.
