Kenpilot
Hey Guys, I'm going to purchase an A10C CDU panel from PC Flights and I was wondering what people use for the circuit board that goes underneath and has all of tactile switches attached? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! dukovac
Are you planning to add 3.5" display to CDU? I bought a TFT display and is very difficult to read anything unless you are watching directly from above.
crash test pilot
@Kenpilot: Prototype board or strip grid board. @dukovac: What display are you using? I use this: https://www.ebay.de/itm/3-5in-ILI9486-Control-IC-TFT-LCD-Display-Module-320x480-for-Ar-Mega2560-16-Bit-R/133455625846 I can read it very clear even under the smoked cover plate from the pcflights offering. Kenpilot
Did you have to cut the board to size or were you able to find one about the same size as the CDU panel? Yes, I'm planning on adding a display. Thanks for the heads up about the viewing angle. crash test pilot
No, i had to cut it. It is not easy to make it fit because keys are very close to the edges but is manageable. edit: readability Edited March 12, 2021 by crash test pilot

crash test pilot
Do you use your display with helios? That may be a more versatile solution than mine. I used an arduino-shield display because it was cheap but so it only displays the A-10 CDU.
jj3
I started a build with custom PCB's, https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/251428-flights-cdu-panel/ I do have a couple extra sets, but I haven't had the chance to wire everything up and test it all yet. I'm using Helios only to create additional viewports after every DCS update. I found better screen, but it's expensive. https://www.waveshare.com/3.5inch-hdmi-lcd.htm
