MP Desyncs are getting on my nerve

@BIGNEWYLeft is server's, right is my tacview. About 30 players on a dedicated server, ping 30ms. Happens all the time to everyone. What is causing this? How does ED plans to fix it? WHEN? What do we do in the meantime??? MP is unplayable and makes me wanna throw away DCS.

@BIGNEWY I suggest this temporary fix: if the server tells the client's aircraft to explode or receive damage, but the client does not have any missile/projectile nearby to cause such damage, the version of events on the client PC should prevail (i.e. missile or bullet would miss).

To add to this multi crew is shot, Human rio loses tracks on TID if pilot pulls hard then takes ages to re build a track on the TID for launch parameters, It makes flying the F-14 impossible with a human rio, Its been like this since the last update never had an issue before until now, Not sure how the helo's work but i bet they also dysnc to.

The team are looking into it. 

 

We can only reproduce so far when someone with a bad connection joins the server, or if the server is experiencing packet loss.

 

As packet loss increases its more noticeable.

Its not high ping, it is packet loss apparently creating the problem.

Basically what your saying is DCS multi player is completely Fu barred with 40+ players in one server, Either way just play Single player. So i dont get why ED and 3rd parties make and waste there time on  multi crew modules 😂

we are saying we are looking into it. Fact is user or server connections with packet loss are creating the problem. We dont have any control over that, we can only tweak the network code to try and mitigate its effects, and that is what we will do.

Thank you Bignewy for the update!  Really looking forward to this being fixed for MP on larger servers.  Right now it's just not playable.

Team; look at full server, max players, then other clients trying to get into said full server, client left clicking on the server endlessly and trying to get in as soon as some one drops, may cause sever, server desync and refresh resync issues? just a theory?

 

 

also MSAA x2, x4 also causes server lag.

I have MSAA x2 and x4 turned off and I've just left Hoggit as its totally unplayable . Stuttering ,  Dysic and impossible to dogfight .  Spawned and Die on carrier deck . 

This is an endless complaint from people that have DCS . It Seems it never gets fixed , posts like this go back years . 

Why have other combat sims that host 80+ players yet DCS cant master 34 players . I just don't get it . 

The most stable i think was 2.2 in multiplayer . 

What is the plan for multiplayer . ??

the real problem is that it appears the missile position&velocity arent synchronized between clients, unlike aircraft. each client seems to have its own independent simulation of the missiles trajectory, countermeasure rejection etc.

maybe it would require too much bandwidth, dunno.

 

personally i cant say im seeing it more on 2.7 than before.

Is it pure loss, or jitter and reassembly?

A hotfix for debug/stats to drop in server log files would be helpful for ALL of us.
