Tusky
Hi all! Apologies if this has been reported before but setting the altimeter (QNH) in the cockpit as indicated in the ME/Briefing always gives a ground elevation about 50ft higher than the altitude indicated in the F10 map. For example, using an F-18, when taking off from Nellis runway 03 L/R, the altitude on the HUD should be 1840ft (the altitude when hovering your cursor over your position is 1842); if the QNH is set in accordance to the ME/Briefing, the altitude is 1890ft which corresponds to about +0.06 inHG. This also happens when taking off from runway 21 L/R (altitude on the HUD should be 1850ft). I believe this issue is consistent throughout the map and may be due to the fact that either the altitudes in indicated in the F10 map are wrong or the actual ground elevation is higher than it actually is. Not a game stopper (always check your actual altitude on ramp/runway as a good practice) but worth having a look.
