iKyrThraad993i
Does the Virpil Throttle, Joystick and rudder pedals have any problems when using a Powered USB Hub? Looking to purchase a set of Virpil gear so I am wondering since I won't have enough space for all 3 products on my motherboard.
Munkwolf
They'd be fine, probably even unpowered. I daisy-chained 2 hubs off of another hub, all unpowered, one usb cable to computer, and got to about 10 or 11 devices (including hotas) before I started running into some issues with it. dburne
As far as Virpil I am currently only running their new CM3 Throttle, and I have it plugged into a powered USB 3 Hub and it works great in that for me. I also have a VKB stick and MFG rudder pedals plugged into powered a powered hub as well with no problem. Lucky
No problem here either. CM3 throttle, rudder pedals and CM2 base all plugged into the same powered USB 3.0 hub. JIGGAwest
i was getting a CRC16 CFG error with my CM3 throttle on a 15ft USB 3.0 extension. Added the throttle to a 3ft hub plugged into a 4ft powered hub, seemed to solve the issue.
pickafivestring
And just for posterity, and future searchers, I have a VKB Gunfighter, MFG Crosswind, and Virpil CM3, all plugged into a powered USB hub with 7 ports, one fast charge port, it supports USB 3.0, and they work fine. No issues. Edited May 6, 2021 by pickafivestring
SmilingBandit
And for what it’s worth they are USB 2 devices.
Double Dutch
I am maybe a bit out of tone, I have a sitecom powered USB hub 3.0 and it sometimes have trouble. which causes my devices not to be detected. Even when I have just one together with TrackIR installed. As a consequence every except TrackIR is now connected directly to my PC ----- Don't practise till you got it right. I run all my devices through two ea powered 4 port USB3 Hubs with individual on/off switches for each port which I find nice. Virpil CM3 Throttle, VKB Gunfighter Pro stick, Crosswind Pedals. Works a champ.
