Set Master Mode to SEAM (Sidewinder Expanded). When AIM9 locks on, TGP should slew automatically for visual ID. Something like F-14's IRST-V With APKWS APP laser guided rockets, Av-8B should be the preferred helicopter hunter of choice. Now there is something I want to explore.
