Dassault Super Mystere

+1 only thing I will say is that the early Cold War period is the least fleshed out era in DCS, though it would go very nicely with the century series if we ever got them.

Indeed, there's a lot missing in DCS when it comes to the Cold War period, especially the early phase.

The first time I ever came into contact with the Super Mystère was, when I played the Israeli Wars DLC for Command Modern Operations and found those weird Dassault planes, that I've never heard of, under my command

Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit

DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!

Were they efficient? According to wikipedia they were good match for the Arabian Mig-19.

F-16C, M2000C, Persian Gulf

Ryzen 5 3600, RX 5700 XT, 32GB ram, Odyssey HMD+, Home-made TrackHat, X56 Hotas.

IIRC they matched up quiet well indeed.

the Turks used F100  SUper Sabres and F104 Starfighters during their Invasion of Cyprus ( which will be added to the syria map)

Can we have an F100  and F104 too? 😁

The Hun would be a good one to fight in the MiG-19

Am I the only one who actually prefer the "legacy" Mystère IV?

To me it would be a nice plane in a scenary against Mig-15 or F-86

Yes! I’d certainly buy Mystere IVA. It saw more action than the super Mystere and will add a good counter part to the Mig-15 and F-86.

Having said that, I will also buy Super Mystere B2 and Ouragan to complete the lineage. Beautiful planes.

The Dassault Super Mystere might have a case for it since it was also used by the Israeli Air Force. It saw action in the 1967 Six-Day War and the 1973 Yom Kippur War.

Thay is a “Sa’ar” - a super Mystere upgraded for A2G work by IAI. The most distinctive feature is the extended tail pipe that was added when the American J-52 engine (same engine as A-4 Skyhawks) was installed. They were excellent attack planes during 1973 Yom Kippur, then sold to Honduras, where they saw some more action.

I don’t see this one coming to DCS within the current or next centuries… well, maybe as a mod.
