markturner1960 Posted February 13, 2021 Share Posted February 13, 2021 Hi, the last few weeks, I had been getting error messages about steam VR crashing and this culminated in me deciding to re install steam, steam VR beta and WMR beta, as I found I was unable to uninstall Steam VR ...... The new install seems to clearer and runs better (maybe a -placebo, who knows....) But.... I have had a couple of instances where while DCS is running, I suddenly get dumped into the WMR room...DCS is running on my desktop, but I can’t get anything in my headset and have to quit out and start again..... Anyone else experiences this and any ideas? System specs: PC1 :Scan 3XS Ryzen 5900X, 64GB Corsair veng DDR4 3600, EVGA GTX 3090 Win 10, Quest Pro, Samsung Odyssey G9 Neo monitor. Tir5. PC2 ( Helo) Scan 3XS Intel 9900 K, 32 GB Ram, 2080Ti, 50 inch Phillips monitor F/A-18C: Rhino FFB base TianHang F16 grip, Winwing MP 1, F-18 throttle, TO & Combat panels, MFG crosswind & DFB Aces seat Viper: WinWing MFSSB base with F-16 grip, Winwing F-16 throttle, plus Vipergear ICP. MFG crosswind rudders. Helo ( Apache) set up: Virpil collective with AH64D grip, Cyclic : Rhino FFB base & TM F18 grip, MFG crosswind rudders, Total controls AH64 MFD's, TEDAC Unit. Did you happen to press F10 or F2 when that happened and do you have 8gb or less vram? Here are some links to same kind of problems (which i’m sure are all related and there’s lots of more. Happens also on my machine with a 3090 with 24 GB VRAM and 128GB RAM. But as you can see from the taskmanager the memleak fills up the entire VRAM easily. I wonder when they will use the 64 GB BAR-MEM if it'll flood these 64GB too ...
