ak22
I went to purchase the upgrade as it has been removed form steam? what gives ED? Notice: At the request of the publisher, DCS: A-10C II Tank Killer Upgrade is no longer available for sale on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1431030/DCS_A10C_II_Tank_Killer_Upgrade/
Pizzicato
People were (understandably) exploiting the Steam Lunar Sale to buy the original A-10C for $20 and then the upgrade for $10 versus the full asking price for the standalone A-10C II ($80 or $56 in the sale). i7-7700K @ 4.9Ghz | 16Gb DDR4 @ 3200Mhz | MSI Z270 Gaming M7 | MSI GeForce GTX 1080ti Gaming X | Win 10 Home | Thrustmaster Warthog | MFG Crosswind pedals | Oculus Rift S
Eldur
Has nothing to do with people exploiting sales. If it was available just recently like that, it was an error and ED corrected it. On the ED store you only have been able to buy the upgrade prior to the release of the upgrade for 10 bucks and then for 20 bucks for the first month after release, after that you had to get the complete pack no matter what. It never was listed separately there either. You just paid the lower price and the shop recognized if you had the original A-10C already or not and changed the price accordingly. https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/245332-dcs-a-10c-ii-tank-killer-faq-mini-updates/?tab=comments#comment-4465954 Edited February 13, 2021 by Eldur
Pizzicato
Yep. I know. We're talking about Steam, though. It's all immaterial, though, as this thread won't live long. ED has failed to communicate this clearly since the release of the Tank Killer module. chaotikchiken
It looks like the upgrade period has completely been revoked without much of a heads-up. (Link to original upgrade details) This definitely leaves a bad taste for sure when I had a few other modules in my cart yesterday to check out this morning. At least leave the upgrade option for the prior buyers during the Lunar Sale. Edit: To add salt to the wound, the DCS Store has a promo price that is double the price of previous Steam upgrade, though not compatible on Steam. I upgraded my A-10C II back on September 2020 ... at US$ 10 was a steal and I purchased it right away even if I was not flying the A-10C at the time ... why a bad taste? is it ED's fault that you decided to wait before upgrading? or you really tought that the special offer would last for ever? ... on my case, I'm really satisfied with the very low price that ED gave to their existing users, no bad taste at all 2 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
