Just reporting back: I still had it on my 3570k rig after a forced update to 21H1 and it appeared on my 5800x as soon as I replaced that temporary 660 with my 1080 and it's switched off. I guess I'll leave it like that unless I run into some issues or get recommendations to activate it.

Read somewhere that it depends on if the drivers and hardware support it, might be the 660 doesn't support it. 1 AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, MSI X570 Tomahawk, 32GB G.Skill F4-3600C15D @ 3866C14, ASRock Taichi 7900XTX, HP Reverb G2, VPC WarBRD-D & Thrustmaster F16 Viper & F18 Super Hornet, Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle. silverdevil
@neok interesting. i would like to share an observation here. i do not have any app preference assigned in my case. can you clear your settings and see what happens? it sounds like maybe a setting getting funky after update. The reason for my high cpu frame time lies in all the monitor exports I'm doing when flying on flatscreen for my cockpit.... I renamed the scripts folder. It runs butter smooth now. oh well, it just took me half a year to find out. everything is working now As always, user error what you mean about monitor exports on flatscreen ? neok
Basically if you export your mfds with helios or manually and keep these exports active when running it in vr. CPU frametimes go through the roof.
