Very beautiful skins!  My P-47 skins folder already passed 10GB

Calinho,

Remember to update Jambock' skin to vs 2.0. I am updating it slowly, but all of them will be vs 2.0 soon enough. 4 for the contest plus 1, 2 and 2 Olive Drab already updated.

Take care.

So here is my second P-47 skin.

This time it is a generic RAF Thunderbolt skin that you are able to edit the ID markings on in the mission editor and the rearming window.

The roundel had to be placed in the unorthodox position for the RAF to get it to work with the way the aircraft's ID codes are generated.

Using the official template found here, we are holding a Thunderbolt livery contest. Only the top ten submissions will be chosen and included with the module. Your name will also be included in the official manual.

Here are some of the requirements and details:

  • The skin must be created using this template. ( note wire frame has been added please download again )

  • The skin can be historically accurate or fictional. However, the skin must be associated with one of the countries currently present in DCS World.

Here are instructions for saving textures with MIP levels using NVIDIA Texture Tools for Adobe Photoshop.

After submitting your file to User Files, please enter the P-47D Thunderbolt Skin Competition forum topic with a screenshot and link to your file.

The contest will run until the 5th of March.

Bignewy,

The template was update today. Do we have to update the liveries for this new one or do we keep the way it is?

Ps: Please, disregard the question, all my four liveries for the contest were updated for the new template released on 15Feb2021.

Thank you,

Sydy

My submission #2

UPDATED VERSION (FINAL)

P-47D 405th FG 509th FS, Belgium, 1945 "Whoooo"

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3315123/

Obs: Every color from the "wolfie" art brights diferently at different angles to simulate variable refractions from different paint tones.

The serial number on the tail was adjusted down for more historical accuracy.

In that colour scheme it could almost pass as a Tempest II

Cheers,
