Coota0
Three Questions: 1)Will the moving maps be loaded automatically for whichever map we are playing on or will players need to do something to load the maps? 2)Will there be an ability to load the "mission" card with weapons data, frequencies and waypoints before entering the mission? How will this work? 3) The TACOPS types were able to draw corridors, no fly areas, etc. will that be possible with the moving map? barundus
You may need to provide some context for "TACOPS types"...

Our TACOPS officers were able to use the drawing tools from Falcon View to draw corridors and other images on the map before transferring it to the aircraft. Drawing is currently available for the KA-50, but has been promptly ignored in every module ever since. So it's not only possible but has been implemented before. It's up to PC to make the call though.
Fri13
The drawing feature is pretty important DCS Core feature that would be used in many other places. Example: - AV-8B Harrier supports pilot to send a image or video to JTAC, that can then draw on it to mark what ever needed (own troops locations, enemy position, approach direction etc) and Harrier pilot sees that in his display. Makes a lot faster to explain things than just over radio when both can see what pilot is seeing. - Mi-24 moving map is a cardboard inside a box where plastic strip symbolizing position is moved around. You need to swap those boards in flight (like when flying toward combat zone using large scale) and then swap for other more detailed (smaller scale) when entering to combat. You can make all your notes of latest intelligence or so straight on that map board with a pencil. - Instead instant Ctrl+K for placing your aircraft position and direction in kneeboard, you would get to draw on the kneeboard map yourself. You could do that before mission to mark the targets positions or when you are flying and you see something you would draw there as you think where they are. The kneeboard part is important, as we could exchange intelligence between pilots and ground units, as well send intelligence to others when delivering the kneeboard to intelligence officer that would then transmit the information further in the chain of command and mission planning. Like we are not just dependent for digital datalinks to find coordinates and send them, but we can as well get a physical map and have better overall picture what is where and help others in multiplayer games to make their missions. Of course as there is the human element that is doing the drawing etc, there would be mistakes and lack of accurate intelligence and it would become more realistic fog-of-war kind situation in multiplayer. 1 1 i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K. This all sounds great! I hope we get something like this one day.
