JRM
Hi, I was wondering what is the current price of the SU27, wikipedia says that 75 m according to the last year inflation...is that correct? Also if anyone knows I would like to know how much it cost the fly hour in this awesome aircraft.
Ironhand
http://rusadventures.com/tour17.shtml Back in 2010 two were on sale for $5 million apiece which isn’t bad. Of course, flying them costs, too. At today’s prices, you’d be running north of $2500 of jet fuel through the engines every hour—assuming you stayed out of afterburner. And then, of course, there’s maintenance etc. Edited January 13, 2021 by Ironhand 1 YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCU1...CR6IZ7crfdZxDg _____ Win 10 Pro x64, ASUS Z97 Pro MoBo, Intel i7-4790K, EVGA GTX 970 4GB, HyperX Savage 32GB, Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD, 2x Seagate Hybrid Drive 2TB Raid 0. Mr_sukebe
No one is going to give a simple straight answer to that question. If it were that simple, you'd be able to look it up on Sukhoi.com, choose your configuration and livery and hit the buy button. The reality is that there's going to be a whole bunch of other questions that the Soviets would ask, e.g. how many do you want, do you want training, how many years of spares, what capabilities do you wish for it to have etc. The closest that you might get to that is to look at say an overseas sale (were they sold to India?) to see what the contract included and base the real life cost on that. Of course that's before you then include your own costs for training, staffing, the airfield, fuel etc etc. System: 9700, 64GB DDR4, 2070S, NVME2, Rift S, Jetseat, Thrustmaster F18 grip, VPC T50 stick base and throttle, CH Throttle, MFG crosswinds, custom button box, Logitech G502 and Marble mouse. But they also were without any sort of weapon system. I hadn’t realized you were asking how much it would cost to make the DCS Su-27 real.
