VR Optician Reverb G2 lenses

Recommended Posts

I just got my new lenses for my G2 today.  I had them for the previous Reverb and Rift S as well.

Has anyone else gotten the G2 lenses from VR Optician yet?  I ordered the day they opened up sales, so I'm not sure how many others may have them (European players probably do, I'm in Canada and the shipping over Xmas took a while).  Anyhow, question is does anyone else find that the G2 lenses are much, much clearer/better than the previous ones?  I had 2 sets from this company, and a few from others, and found VR Optician to build great lenses/products, but these ones just seem much, much more superior to the last ones.  Anyone know if they changed their process or whatever?

Highly recommend this inserts from Vr Optician, these ones are fantastic for me.

I have VR opticians for my G2, but more importantly I had both widmovr amd Vr Opticians for mod G1, the clarity was about the same, but, the difference was in comfort, the widmovr were significantly less comfortable hey were  a bit bigger and that led to rubbing ...

the quality of the vr optician product is still high , excellent quality as it was with my g1, so if you are happy with their build quality you will remain happy with them.

I ordered mine on a Thursday.  There was a Euro holiday the following Monday, but I still received my inserts on the following Thursday.  One week from order to delivery.   Not bad from Germany to Arizona.  I do highly recommend VR Optician inserts.  Good quality.

So the lenses arrived today and all I can say is they are fabulous. Oddly, they have increased my field of view and they have brightened the image,

equally oddly. Superb sharpness. Extremely impressed! Thank goodness I don’t have to put my contacts in in the morning.

Are you able to slide your headset up to look at keyboard or screen without it scraping your head? I bought the VRWave lenses months ago and didn’t like how bulky they were and how they tend to fall off the lense as well. I should of went with VROtical because I like how they got like a cup attachment to them. Also the lenses kinda scrape my nose bridge. I may think about forking up the $$$ for this brand they seem to have a better low profile look to them too. The VR Wave brand are like square looking and you have to press them in like really hard for them to attach right, that I didn’t like about them. And yes I made sure they were the right side too, they were just bulky.

Question, So you say they click in nice but if I were to take them off do they come off fairly easy? Mine are on it's way and super excited to try them out.

Its a fiddle but once you know how they come off, yes its OK ... its not a quick xswap, so if you are sharing the headset, allow some time the first few times you take them off and on

Mine come of very easily (perhaps too easily?) they seem to stay in place fine though.

Hi,

For the moment i use multifocus spectacles.

This is not so easy to get the focus in VR perhaps somebody has the same problem and know which is best solution.

Do i best order lenses for near seeing (focus on normal reading distance)?

THX in advance

I also wear vari-focal spectacles ... but for VR you order lenses for far vision prescription only. VR Optician's website make it very easy to input the details. As it happened, I was due an eye test at my optician and got them to supply me with the necessary numbers.

I use multifocals as well but I have found that a pair of reading glasses from the newsagents works a treat. The frame is thinner than my normal glasses and I can take the headset off and modify voice attack or use the keyboard as needed. I'm using a 2.5 diopter reading glasses and I'm about 2.5 to 3ft away from my screen and the glasses cost under $10

Yup these vroptican lenses are a way better fit for the G2 imho. Still I can not just slide the headset up I have to pull out alittle then lift up but they are great and I like how they SNAP in , the VRwaves don’t snap in like that.  great product ! And fast fast to USA.

ich liebe dich VRoptican!!!!
