New to DCS F16 - couple questions on HOTAS programming and MFD/Gauge Extraction to start off

Recommended Posts

If there is a spot to easily find this info, please excuse the post. I have my CH HOTAS set up the same way I use it in the "other" F-16 sim, but the keys I can't seem to find are to change the radar elevation (LMFD). Range is OSB 19-20, works fine, just can't find the elv. keys.

I use YAME64 to extract MFDs and gauges to my  two Lilliput 8" monitors. Is there a similar "easy to use" program for DCS?

Thanks for any help, looking forward to getting into this and also the F-18 module. Read that ATC and dynamic campaign are not far off, great news!

Display extraction is handled through DCS.  No external program needed.  It's done through LUA files.  I had messed with it a small bit, but moved to VR and extraction was no longer needed.

You have two options for the radar antenna elevation controls:

You can bind the axis: ANT ENEV Knob.

You can bind buttons: ANT ELEV Knob - CCW, and ANT ELEV Knob - CW

Thanks Bunny, I am using a 4-way hat on my CH throttle. I swear I tried using the CW/CCW bindings but i'll take another look. I'll also do some study today on using the LUA files and Helios, if applicable. Thanks guys!

Hi.

Be sure no axis is also bound to the Range 'cause it would make the buttons useless!

All set now, the Save Profile was missed after my last change I guess.. now I just need to get Helios to work with my two MFD monitors...
