Wish for MSAA 8X in DCS World 2.5

DCS World 2.5 in 1080P with 4X MSAA is full of aliasing for my 24 inch screen. While SSAA is too GPU suffered, so is there any possibility for MSAA 8X to come back?

You might consider trying Nvidia panel settings to see if you can force such a thing. Not sure if that works, though.

 

ReShade is another option, basically 3rd party post processing. You can apply additional smoothing and dozens of other effects ranging from practical to utterly stupid.

If you have an Nvidia card, you can set only for DCS the AA Option "Exclude Application Settings" (or something like that, I'm going by memory).

 

Then you can set AA and AA transparency to 4x - 8x to your liking (at least MSAA 2x must be active in DCS)

 

The result is very good and the fps impact not so hard.

 

Try it!  

 

P.S. don't select "enhance application settings" because it won't work.

Thanks! I have seen this and it seems that only the MFAA in NV control panel takes effect in DCS.
