CTD when replacing human pilot while human RIO still aboard

Hi. I've just had a CTD while I was hosting. Here's what happened:

 

• We were flying for about an hour.
• Two friends were in one of the Tomcats.
• The pilot was about to leave the game. He freed his slot so I could take his place to help his RIO. The RIO stayed in the aircraft.
• I then entered the pilot slot less than 3 seconds after it was freed, and BOOM: instant crash to desktop.

 

Right after the crash, I opened dcs.log and saw my last move (entering the aircraft) was the direct cause of the crash.

Unfortunately, I've lost the log file.

 

Is this a known bug?

Are we supposed to be able to do what I tried to do?
