Cougar CAM gimbal

Not clear if this is an individual project or commercial venture, construction similar to BRD, with laser cut metal pieces and bearings in pivots.

Sensors in the picture are analog GVL224 MagREZ (KMZ41 magneto resistence), compatible with Cougar original controller.

Looks amazing, specially if it eliminates the standard Cougar center play ... wonder how much it would cost.

Unlike the Cougars original gimbals, there is no centerplay in gimbals as designed above. And they are smooth in all directions, even at the axis cross points.

You will probably get them with center or no center cams.

Price: a Virpil WarBRD base costs 190€ + VAT. Since this is a drop-in, it should be cheaper (no housing or baseplate needed) when the production is the same.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind combat pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

So, is this made by the same guy who designed the Virpil War BR-D (can't remember what it was called originally)?

How does BR-D compare with the NXT Ultra, if anyone has tried both?

I did (not the NXT Ultra but one of the first batches of Uber 2's). Both are practically the same in feel, just that my Uber 2 mod had sometimes a little "clunck" in it when one of the springeye's on the X-axis moved along it's brass fitting. But then tension on the Uber 2 springs was a lot higher then on the WarbRD.
