VR Shaders for IC Pass, Clear Water and Texture fixes

Kegetys mod has the highest performance. 
 

my variant with clear water (and some of @Taz1004’s additions) maintains the best compromise between performance and visual quality.

 

I don’t know if it’s compatible with his smoke fix.

What is this clear water and how it differs from the version of Kegetys?

Err the Kegetys version of the mod has opaque water, one of the changes to 2.5.6 was to introduce translucent water, my variant returns that, but it costs you perf.

With standard version, helicopters rotors are invisible and depending of the lighting the reflections from cockpit (gauges, displays, hud glass and canopy) are pretty exaggerated, someone suffer the same?

Curious what folks are using for #define MASKSIZE  in the _HMD.hlsl file?

 

I have Vive Cosmos Elite using 5.25 and curious if it's too much?

Just keep reducing it until you can see the mask in the headset, then bump it back up slightly so you can't. Voila... that's the value for your headset. On my Rift S I have it set to 5.75, but that's a little bigger than necessary so that I can record the desktop window without capturing any of the mask in the video.

I don't have the MI-8, so i cant test ... have you tried it without the MOD

For whatever reason this mod is causing huge lag spikes whenever I change aircraft in the mission editor.

Depends on how you install it, Any mod should be installed using OvGme or similar tooling otherwise you will have to do a repair.

If the issue issue is with the standard version, you might want to ping Kegetys on his thread.

for reference I nearly always run the clear water version, with mustangs shader mods, except for testing.
 

I suspect you are correct, it will require a rewrite, depending on what they do with clouds, but that will be for Kegetys to do...

Why is it blurry anyway?  Is it supposed to be blurry?  I used NVG goggles before and they were noisy but not blurry.

 

Also, sun.fx looks like it's identical to default file.  I think it can be deleted.

its in the right place, i havent tried this mod on its own , did you try it with the rest of the MOD ?

i was experiencing this as well as a matter of fact if i tried to do anything but click start from mission editor it lags so bad you cant even use the mouse

if the aircraft hasn't been used before then it will need to generate the cockpit and shaders etc... thats the only thing i can think of

This broke my game, I tried the first and the 3rd shader pack, with the first one the game boots but I couldn't get in the server I usually play, it just sits on the loading screen for ever, I also tried loading a single player mission and it just hangs in the loading screen.

The 3rd pack the game doesn't even open, I get an error straight away, luckily I made a backup of the shader folder.

as has been said many times it takes a LONG time to load the first time in game, and the first time an aircraft is loaded as the shaders are compiled at that time.  The only version that will work in a multiplayer (where IC is set) environment is the 3rd.

 

You should always use a tool like OVGME or MODMANFX etc to manage installs of this type.

If you're referring to NVG part, it doesn't work by itself.  You have to install this mod first.
