Leviathan667
Hello, I've been flying the C-101 for almost two weeks. This is a great module! Thank you Aviodev for having brought it to DCS. Today, I've been reading the annex for the 101CC. At page 133 of the manual, regarding the HSI, the following has been written: Quote The pink bearing pointer points to the selected navaid station. The bearing select pushbutton selects between ADF or NAV bearing information presented by the bearing pointer. The navigation source annunciators illuminate RN for Area Navigation, VLF for Very Low Frequency (Omega), INS for Inertial Navigation System, and VN for Vertical navigation. Those systems are not implemented in DCS C-101. The annunciators will be blank when standard VOR/LOC and glide slope are being used. Should I understand the C-101CC (and the EB?) do have an INS? If yes, will it be implemented? Will the "navigation source annunciators" be implemented too? At page 146 of the manual, regarding the employment of bombs, the following can be read: Quote Bombs Employment (with pre-set sight line) Weapons Master Switch (MAST SW) – ON Optical Sight Power Switch – ON Pylon Selected Indicator – Selected required pylon Optical Sight Mode Switch – AUTO Aim and depress trigger Bombs Employment (with manually set depression) Weapons Master Switch (MAST SW) – ON Optical Sight Power Switch – ON Pylon Selected Indicator – Selected required pylon Optical Sight Mode Switch – MAN Depression Selectors – Adjust depression angle in mrad Aim and depress trigger Is the "pre-set sight line" set according to parameters that can be inputted manually (e.g. XXX miliradians) or is it computed according to aircraft, speed, attitude, distance from target (or pre-set firing distance) and selected weapon? Or can one adjust the pre-set parameter in the mission editor? Under what circumstances should one set the optical sight to auto? Will the "navigation source annunciators" be implemented too? INS or any other navigation system like Omega etc have never been implemented in the real aircraft, therefore it's not in our plans to add them. The navigation source annunciators are implemented but they are blank when using VOR, LOC or GS. Quote Is the "pre-set sight line" set according to parameters that can be inputted manually (e.g. XXX miliradians) or is it computed according to aircraft, speed, attitude, distance from target (or pre-set firing distance) and selected weapon? Or can one adjust the pre-set parameter in the mission editor? Under what circumstances should one set the optical sight to auto? The pre-set sight line, used in AUTO mode, is a fixed depression value that only works well when employing the cannon, in either A/A or A/G modes. It is also Lead Computed. For rockets and bombs you should use manual depression, and adjust the correct depression in miliradians using tables. We don't have implemented pre-set sight line values for rockets or bombs, which in any case, would not be lead computed in the case of bombs. And would be very imprecise as depression for bombs and rockets varies widely depending on parameters like speed, hight, etc. So you may disregard that option described in the manual. The manual was made before completing the module and therefore contains inaccurate descriptions. We have in our plans to review it once the module gets to release phase. 1 Roberto "Vibora" Seoane Alas Rojas [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
