I want to try syria map but it crashes to desktop on loading screen!

Try this:

1. Delete this file: \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\PersianGulf\clipmaps\colortexture\4m\mAC-3.tif.clipmap.
2. Run a cleanup and repair.

If you keep having file errors from the same folder, remove all files in this folder and run a repair (the updater will download about 7 GB of data).

@FlappieI'm getting a very similar problem on syria, it only seems to impact when using High Textures and certain aircraft. L-39 and F-14, cause a CTD/ with a steamVR crash; I have uninstalled all the mods, and created a clean saved games directory, and done all the usual hygine stuff (Fxo etc... ) i have also tried without my OC on my CPU and GPU.  

 

i dont seem to have the problem with terrain textures set to Low, or with the F-18 textures set to high or low ..

which antivirus are you using? try excluding DCS from its real time scan

strange that it is creating an integrity check, and you have any unofficial mods in the saved games location and not the dcs install correct?

You're right: the issue is memory.

Try manually setting your pagefile size to a minimum of 32 GB (the size of your RAM). First ensure you have enough room on the disk holding your pagefile.

• initial size : 32768
• max size: 65536 (or 32768 if there's less than 120 GB of free space on your disk)

@Flappieand @BIGNEWY Yep its definitely a memory problem with High Textures , I'm 91% or higher during the build of textures it topped out of 98% of available RAM on a 32GB machine ... wow!
