CBenson89
Silly question but are the numbers on the tid that show the upper and lower scan limits referring to the altitude or degrees from the nose of the aircraft. If the upper scan is 36K and the lower scan shows 16 I’m guessing those are the altitude? Thanks for the help as always! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Prez
The 3 numbers on the middle left of the TID refer to upper and lower scan (in thousands of ft) and the middle number is the radar’s current elevation angle
QuiGon
Also keep in mind that unlike in other aircraft like the F-16 or F/A-18, the scan altitude numbers don't show the altitude for the cursor position, but for the selected range setting (the upper end of the screen). So if you have set your TID to show a 50nm range, then those numbers show you the maximum and minimum scan altitude at 50nm. Intel i7-4790K @ 4x4GHz + 16 GB DDR3 + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing!
