VIRPIL lead times

I'm ready to drop about $1700.00 on VIRPIL products but need to know lead times. I sent them an email but thought I might get an answer here quicker.

Anyone order from them recently?

This is my list.
 

Constellation ALPHA-R

MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle

MongoosT-50CM2 Base

ACE Interceptor Pedals

Desk Mount V2/V3 Adapter - MT-50 Throttle

2 - Desk Mount V3 - S

Ordered VPC MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle on 8 Dec.  My credit card was charged on 18 Dec.

Technically though this one is billed as a "pre-order".

In my experience of ordering 5 or 6 items from Virpil, it takes anything from 4-6 weeks to receive the goods.  You have a CM3 throttle on your list, and Virpil have stated that will not start shipping until the end of January.

That's why I'm hoping they will give me an idea how long.  If I decide to order these items I would make a separate order for the throttle.

Honestly, Virpil are all over the place with times. It could be quick or it could be a few months. Either way it will definitely be worth it.

This is the response I just received from VIRPIL. 

 

Considering our current production levels an estimated lead time would be around 6-8 weeks(CM3 Throttle does not affect this)

I think it's just very hit or miss. I ordered and received a CM2 base and 200mm extension in less than two weeks.

Just placed my order. Now the wait begins. I put the throttle on a separate order. Don't know if that will matter.

 

I've had the MongoosT-50CM2 base before and loved it. I'm not crazy about their mounts though. A little too much flex in the mount for the joystick. I may end up buying a Monstertech mount for the joystick.

2 of my orders were invoiced yesterday. The CM3 throttle and the other was for the 200mm extension.

I presume you are not in the uk. No UK shipping till January because of VAT situation changing.

Received tracking number for my CM3 today.

I ordered the constellation alpha - R and warbrd base on the 19th of december, and the -L and base on the 21st, still waiting to be charged which they say happens about two weeks before shipping. I also order desk mounts for both on the 26th and those will be here on the 15th lol, but no joysticks to attach to them, order the rudder pedals and am waiting to hear about those yet, and debating getting the throttle as well. But the lead times are pretty long. I was told between 4-6 weeks for the alphas.

Also ordered the Constellation Alpha and Warbird Base together with the CM3 and Rudder Pedals around Dec 21. - Rudder Pedals arrived yesterday, CM3 will arrive on thursday. 

Also no charge for the Conny an Warbird Base - so you are not alone

I received the 200mm extension last week. The CM3 throttle will be here Thursday. I'm still waiting for the Constellation Alpha, CM2 base, rudder pedals, 2 short desk mounts, 1 long desk mount.

So you are saying that I might get my rudder pedals that I ordered earlier this month before I see those joysticks haha

Yes, happened to me - Throttle also arrived yesterday. Now only the Joystick is missing.

But the waiting is worth the time - switching from a Saitek X56 its a different league of quality

So some fun info, today exactly 1 month after the order my Constellation Alpha - L has finally been charged, still no charge on the Alpha - R though which was ordered 2 days earlier.

I placed my order 1 month ago for a constellation R, CM2 base, Ace Interceptor pedals, 2 short desk mounts and an adaptor plate. Still waiting to be charged. Should have  placed several smaller orders instead of one big one. Who knows what is back ordered and what isn’t. On the plus side I received my CM3 throttle and 200mm extension last week.

How long did it take for your 200mm extension? I'm waiting on one of those at the moment.

 

Edit: You mean the curved one, right? The others also make up 200mm, so that could mean either.

Yes the curved extension. Ordered 12/27/20, invoiced 12/28/20, shipped 1/6/21, delivered 1/9/21. So almost 2 weeks overall.

Seems timing is everything when ordering from them. One day late and it could mean weeks of waiting.
