Get the Templates to retain the preset radio frequency

It would be sweet if the templates retained the preset radios channels instead of taking the default.

We currently have squads in virtual wing and we have specific radios channels that each squad would like to use and it is difficult to make  new missions and have to reconfigure all the preset on all the jets.  it would be nice if we could make templates of the squads with all the radio channels preset on each aircraft and then save that as a template so we can just redeploy the flights in each mission

Don’t know if this would work, but how about save a mission with the radio templates and nothing else. When you make a new mission use the template but copy and rename. That way your radio frequencies are there when you create a new mission.

Yes, I do what you suggest, but rather than use a mission as template, I use a Static Template, so that I can apply this to existing missions as well, instead of only to new missions.

 

1) First step is defining a Frequency Plan:

 

 

Next, edit a Misssion with one aircraft of each type, taking care to define his radio presets .. this aircraft is set to late activation and used as a model for new units, using copy/paste rather than clicking on the icons of the toolbar:

 

 

Then save the mission as a Static Template, this way you can load it on whatever mission you want, new or existing:

 

 

You will need one Template for each Map.

The problem is that the A-10C has no radio presets in editor, so noway to do the way you say.

Maybe one day ED will find time to take care of the A-10C.

so? It’s still useful for all the other aircrafts and helos, saves a lot of time when editing missions.
