Reverb G2 strobe flickering while loading in Mixed Reality

Anyone knows how to prevent the annoying strobe "flickers" when loading a mission? Or its normal? Thanks

This is normal, can't get rid of it unfortunately.

And there is no solution? (maybe older nvidia drivers??) In WMR always was the same situtation? With Valve Index I didn´t had this issue

Look sideways. It only flickers if you're looking at the menu screen that is loading.

Only WMR headsets have the issue, so you wouldn't have seen it on the Index.  Always been this way. No idea why it can't be fixed!

I have 1,5 years ago a Samsung Odyssey and I don´t remember such flickering during load, I think it´s some sor of recent bug from drivers / WMR or steamVR

Well, it’s been this way for about a year and a half for me. Been discussed ad nauseum here ever since!

Just dont have the headset on until you're loaded in fully... I never wear the headset until I'm ready to rock.

That is what I do, simple fix.

I normaly wait until I'm in the cockpit to start wearing the Reverb G2. The preview windows on my 2d screen is more than sufficient to get the game loaded.

 

But this defintily has to be fixed...

You run the risk of not getting 6 DOF by doing that.  Syncing with Cliff House first is important.

It would be nice to get this fixed, but if it does bother you, then as suggested above, the simplest thing is to close your eyes for a few seconds.

It isn't. The headset will switch to 6DOF in a few seconds, unless the lighting in your room is really bad.

Well, in my and other's experience over the last year with the Reverb, it is.  Always safer to go into Cliff House and launch DCS from there.

Never fails using that method. Many threads on people having issues using other methods, But, YMMV.

Never launched DCS that way over the last year with G1 or G2, and from other people experience in this thread, they did not either. 

 

It really does not require any extra rituals. Double click on the desktop DCS icon, and that's it.

Whatever works for you is the best method for you. I can only say what I and others have reported on over many threads here.

There are no 'extra rituals'. Just put the headset on, and click on the DCS icon from within CH.
