It not the excact same scenario but you can see the dropped frames and how much smoother it is with AMD.

The pictures translate directly to how it feels in DCS playing VR.

Is there a reason why XT has 100% steamVR resolution and rtx has 150% in this comparison?

Yeah, if you're gonna compare apples to oranges you're not gonna get anywhere. With that said I also seem to have a lot of dropped frames with my 3090 which seems to be causing a lot of judder. Very disappointing. Anyone try the new drivers that dropped for Cyberpunk yesterday?

Agreed.

I noticed some in the EVGA forums having some issues with the latest, so I am going to hold off this time for a bit.

From what I've read, you need the older driver (446.14 or older) as Nvidia has yet to issue a fix.

He mentioned it himself..

The pictures are from different benchmark runs. The 6800xt is under all circumstances supirior to the 3080 in DCS at the moment, frametimewise.

I’ll check mine with the newest driver, but it’s hard for me to play anything else but Cyberpunk right now.

FWIW, I have no issues on my 3090 with the current ‘Cyberpunk’ drivers, or any previous ones, come to that.

I rolled the dice and installed the "punk" drivers on my 3090FE yesterday morning. Stable, fine, no issues either.

I meantined it myself in the post as you can read.

And this are just example Pictures of the behaiviour which i had. In our Benchmark it was the same on every supersampling resolution.

But there are a lot of people seeing this behaiviour in SteamVR with a lot of games.

But i will see if the new driver will change anything.

The new driver has improvements over here aswell. The studdering is dramatically reduced (which you can be seen on the 99.9th percentile). But still not as smooth as the AMD ones.

And there are still 15fps between the 3080 and 6800xt with a 5600x. And the nvidia driver use more CPU power for some reason, which is bad for multiplayer.

Out of curiosity, why did you get so much higher frame rate than what you posted in the hardware thread?  That setup that you posted also has 5900X which should be a stronger CPU.  Was it a different test?  I’m just not following.

You have to be more specific. We ran a lot of tests with different VR Headsets which have different resolutions and therefore

very different results regarding frames.

Yes the 5900X is faster. But the 5600X is my PC and the HP G2 is mine aswell so i can easily test it.

For the 5900X i have to meet my brother. We ran a lot of tests in a lot of configurations, but always the same Benchmark File.

How do you get these frame rates? I have the rtx3090 with g2 on high settings on dcs with 100 resolution and ss on 50% and I have 43-50 with studding.

SP or MP?
