Brighten up the darkness

I  created some missions for the nighttime. But when landing on an airfield, it`s totaly dark (Caucasus). Even the "lights" on the PG map don`t brighten up any object I place. We need working light towers . It looks very strange when my plane is parking under a lighttower on the airfield and it still is not iluminated. Please think about it.

I think dynamic lighting is something that wasn't done due to performance issues IIRC (don't quote me on that). DCS will probably require an engine overhaul before we see it.

I found out, that in DCS it`s possible that light sources REALLY work.

Look at the picture. Why is this not possible on all airports and air fields and everywhere in DCS ?

I`d like to know.

Yep if you get under the light in a plane it doesn't get illuminated by the light, it just stays in the dark. Would be cool to have that fixed.

+1 The lightpoles should affect the interior!

With 2.7 comes new engine if I understood correctly, a new engine means less load on the GPU and CPU, so if its not Nvidia 960GT you wont need an upgrade;P

I hope you are right! But, assuming 2.7 will also come with new weather system (and maybe even new and improved lighting?) I'm afraid in the end it'll still cause more strain on my pc.. But you're right, I won't be upgrading beforehand. If it's not needed I'll have the money available for other goodies 😄

But we're diverting from the thread topic 😉
