Sr.
Can someone offer a brief explanation as to these readings? Are they about what I should expect with my current hardware (in sig)? Only mod I'm running is Mustang's clearer sky mod. speed-of-heat
on the surface, you are more GPU bound than CPU bound. its very difficult to judge more without understanding the context of the measurement, what were your settings in windows, nvidia, in game, what were you doing when you took the measurement etc... for gaming you really need to switch WMR for Steam VR settings to let SteamVR per-app setting and then the steam VR settings for Motion Smoothing to be enabled for DCS Edited December 4, 2020 by speed-of-heat SYSTEM SPECS: Hardware Intel Corei7-12700KF @ 5.1/5.3p & 3.8e GHz, 64Gb RAM, 4090 FE, Dell S2716DG, Virpil T50CM3 Throttle, WinWIng Orion 2 & F-16EX + MFG Crosswinds V2, Varjo Aero SOFTWARE: Microsoft Windows 11, VoiceAttack & VAICOM PRO

Sr.
Thanks. Yeah, I'm still on the hunt for at least a 3080. I've squeezed all I'm gonna from this 1080 ti as far as DCS goes. speed-of-heat
I would certainly wait and see if the 3080 will come with more ram... I went with a 3090 and I’m happy with that, but, it was largely because I was saving for a 2080ti... and well a bonus arrived at the same time... my observation is that some maps, want well over 12gb of vram, the worst I have seen is 15gb which’s was the channel. Sr.
Got a larger NVME, figured why not do a complete reinstall from the ground up? Differences this time around: I did not (and likely will not) install the NVidia GEForce Experience nonsense. Allowed windows to install the driver for the 1080ti Only restored from previous DCS install were my controller config files. Cockpits look amazing now. Not even running and of the shader mods. Bullant
Is that with the same DCS settings as previously? Because that is a huge GPU frametime drop if it is.
