PeneCruz Posted December 1, 2020 Share Posted December 1, 2020 When you turn the panel and instrument flood lights on the brightness in VR is very bright, the rheostat still functions and you can slightly increase the brightness, however you can not dim them any further. The Instrument and Panel backlighting is fine and has a good range of adjustment. I recommend the intiatal flood lighting value be reduced to a lower level to allow a greater range of rheostat control. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Light dimming should never be linear, but at least quadratic (light amount = input value ²) in order to provide smooth dimming for the human eye. ED has changed the logic from a linear calculation to a curve which threw that curveball our way. Know and use all the capabilities in your airplane.
