[USER ERROR] M2000c main campaign mission 3 no comms

Hi, i cannot communicate with flightlead on this mission.

both red and green radios are on, red on channel 1.

Volume is set to max.

Mission 1 & 2 worked perfectly

Yes, battery is on and easy comms is on. I have comms with the tower etc. Just not with flight lead, wich is scripted for the campaign. It breaks the mission because the flight lead wont even do a startup.

I briefly checked it with no easy communication, after reading your first post without any luck. But i'll check again after i'm home from work. I'll attach a trk file if the problem still persists. Thanks

Still not working with easy comms off, i would attach trk file but its 13.5mb,

and i can only attach a file of max 5mb it seems. 😞

Yup i've read the briefing and im sure its supposed to be red radio (uhf) chnl 1, and battery is on. By now i checked all the channels on both radios. I also saw a yt video of this mission working on 2.5.5. and he was also on red chnl 1. Spacebar didn't work either unfortunately. I think the mission just broke with an update, happend before in other campaigns. 

If you or somebody has the time to check this mission and see if its bugged or not, would be very helpful. No rush 🙂

The single mission is located at c:\Program files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\aircraft\M-2000C\Missions\Campaigns\Caucasus - South Ossetia\Mission 03 FINAL.miz

TL;DR:

I took the time to test - my first attempt failed but second and subsequent tests all worked (5 tests in total). 

 

Detail:

Second (Successful) Attempt:

Battery ON, VHF and UHF radios on; auto radio check from player to "Chevy1-1" triggers, new Radio Item (F10) added - report when ready to taxi.

Start up, Alignment, chocks removed, etc. then F10 Radio Item "ready to taxi".

F10 radio item clears,

Both the L-39ZA Instructor and Chevy1-1 start up their aircraft

After the L-39 Instructor and pupil take off,

Chevy1-1 calls "rolling" and asks you to follow him but due to the poor weather, keep separation and use your radar to rejoin him at WP1.

 

It seemed like the scripted "push" to start the AI plane(s) moving, broke in my first test but I'm at a loss to explain why**.

 

** In the first test, I did note AI troops "wandering" near the taxiway but they weren't near the L-39's or runway and AFAIK they shouldn't "block" airport operations for the AI.

Thanks for the test, I don't think you have comms either, because chevy 1-1 should be talking about bad weather and the need to do an aerial refueling, before the report to taxi option. i get that F10 report option but hear only the player dialog

As for the taxi push there's indeed something weird as well if i report ready for taxi immediately before full startup he rolls out. But after alignment and startup not anymore i found out, at least on my side. Might be time sensitive or something dunno

Thanks, yea first 2 mission no prob at all, was really enjoying this campaign so far. The IP constantly gives you new orders that divert you from flight plan, so having comms with them is essential.

I recently did a repair, don't have any mods and i'm on OB. I might install the stable version or an early version just for this campaign if i find the hd space.

Yeah, I noticed that. My first attempt (that failed to trigger) was a long +12 minute startup. However two of my other tests were also +10 minute starts and Chevy1-1, etc. took-off as expected (at that point I quit out of the missions).

@RamsayAlright, but chevy 1-1 is not talking to you about the weather etc.. right before the F10 report to taxi? Just to confirm.

I've just read some older topics in the campaign section, and apparently alot of missions are messed up due to broken triggers since 2.5.6.

So i'm gonna download a 2.5.5 version to play some campaigns.

I'm in 2.5.6 and I have the exact same issue (I have easy comms off). I cannot hear the "lead" talk, only get my own responses and the "will report ready to taxi".

 

I did watch a YT video of someone doing the mission and I can confirm I do not hear any of that at all (well I've heard it *once* but then the Chevy1-1 never moved at all...)
