Northstar98
As long as we get a threat-heading indication, all fine. Threat type aswell? I think it has strobes or something, with different lines signifying PRF(?) STT or something (somebody who actually knows what they're talking about correct me), it doesn't tell you precisely what it threatening you. I think the lights to the right of the HUD will still say things like AI, SAM and CW to provide some amount of differentiation. Presumably we'll find out all about it when the earlier F-14A gets released and the manual gets updated. Here's what it looks like: Modules I own: F-14A/B, Mi-24P, AV-8B N/A, AJS 37, F-5E-3, MiG-21bis, F-16CM, F/A-18C, Supercarrier, Mi-8MTV2, UH-1H, Mirage 2000C, FC3, MiG-15bis, Ka-50, A-10C (+ A-10C II), P-47D, P-51D, C-101, Yak-52, WWII Assets, CA, NS430, Hawk. Terrains I own: South Atlantic, Syria, The Channel, SoH/PG, Marianas. System: GIGABYTE B650 AORUS ELITE AX, AMD Ryzen 5 7600, Corsair Vengeance DDR5-5200 32 GB, Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB (DCS dedicated) & 2 TB NVMe SSDs, Corsair RM850X 850 W, NZXT H7 Flow, MSI G274CV. Peripherals: VKB Gunfighter Mk.II w. MCG Pro, MFG Crosswind V3 Graphite, Logitech Extreme 3D Pro.
Tonker
Excellent! ...one step closer to the Tonka announcement... :) More seriously, and perhaps it's a little premature to start throwing congratulations around, but Heatblur seem to have outdone themselves. As we all know, this is no mean feat! Early reports of the performance are very promising, and as we can all see in @IronMike 's invigorating trailer, she's a beaut! Well done to all involved, looking forward to her very much :) Edited November 17, 2020 by Tonk'er Spelling! 1 Nah, I've only just met 'er...:pilotfly:

Zad Fnark
While waiting for the new machine, I got mine in the paint shop, at least. 3 Questions are a burdon, and answers a prison for one's self.

Zad Fnark
Currently on hold. Made the mistake of using decal solvent and they curled the decals up so tightly as to be unusable. With the naked eye, the paint doesn't look quite so patchy. Camera seems to bring that out. Need to find more. Questions are a burdon, and answers a prison for one's self. I have too many tanks to build in my model stash, so have taken to buying Hobbymaster F-14's. Trying to avoid having 5 or 6 of them but it seems inevitable. Then I want a VF-84 F-4 to compare with the F-14A... and of course, need an F-14D to join the F-14A and F-14B. And then they come out with another VF-84 F-14A I want (in addition to some of the 80s versions which are too expensive for me to contemplate right now). EDIT: Well, spoke too soon. Was able to get one of my grails for about half the price lightly used compared to what it usually goes for new. Not normally a big fan of the full Phoenix load out but love this paint scheme (2nd favorite compared to the 87-89 version with the big roundel). https://hobbymastercollector.com/HA5219.html Edited December 7, 2020 by Uxi 1 Specs & Wishlist: Core i9 9900k 5.0Ghz, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero, 64GB G.Skill Trident 3600, Asus RoG Strix 3090 OC, 2TB x Samsung Evo 970 M.2 boot. Nealius
And therein lies the trap. Too many models with some offering open panels and such, plus too many paint schemes. Ironically enough, despite all the paint schemes available, kits only seem to come with VF-1, -2, and -84. "Basic b***h" Tomcat schemes that you see literally everywhere.... There are others fit the Hobbymaster. Lots of hi viz schemes I'm not as interested in. Best F-14D is VF-32 can swap the two front pallets with Phoenix, GBU-12 or GBU-31. There is a nice VF-24 F-14B, too. Specs & Wishlist: Core i9 9900k 5.0Ghz, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero, 64GB G.Skill Trident 3600, Asus RoG Strix 3090 OC, 2TB x Samsung Evo 970 M.2 boot.
