sirrah
Sorry if reported before, but (at least in VR) at night, if you look closely, you can see the stars are actually flashing. Not a very big deal obviously, but I thought I'd just as well report it. I've never see 'em flash like this in real life. Perhaps I need to take a tranquility moment some night, and stare at the stars for a while System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH

sirrah
Just for the record, I know they are not to be compared to artificial light sources, but jump in VR at night and look up. That's nowhere near what I see when looking up at the stars in real life :smilewink: Then again, I live in The Netherlands, so perhaps our stars look different :prop: System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
Nealius
I found this slightly jarring, like the sky is full of pulsars. Stars don't twinkle. The only twinkling one my might observe is from disturbances in the atmosphere (heat waves, ect.) that you're not going to see at cruising altitude. EasyEB
Yeah the stars are definitely blinking. I get particles in the atmosphere might dim a star for a second here or there, but no stars I’ve ever seen blink like this.
Pikey
Stars twinkle as an effect of atmospheric disturbances and imperfect heat. It will change from place to place and weather to weather. The current rendition I like, feels more realistic than no twinkling. ___________________________________________________________________________ SIMPLE SCENERY SAVING * SIMPLE GROUP SAVING * SIMPLE STATIC SAVING *
sirrah
feels more realistic than no twinkling. I agree, however I'd prefer it a little more subtle. (At least in VR, if you look at them, it looks weird now) But again, no biggie of course System specs: i7-8700K @stock speed - GTX 1080TI @ stock speed - AsRock Extreme4 Z370 - 32GB DDR4 @3GHz- 500GB SSD - 2TB nvme - 650W PSU HP Reverb G1 v2 - Saitek Pro pedals - TM Warthog HOTAS - TM F/A-18 Grip - TM Cougar HOTAS (NN-Dan mod) & (throttle standalone mod) - VIRPIL VPC Rotor TCS Plus with ALPHA-L grip - Pointctrl & aux banks <-- must have for VR users!! - Andre's SimShaker Jetpad - Fully adjustable DIY playseat - VA+VAICOM ~ That nuke might not have been the best of ideas, Sir... the enemy is furious ~ GUMMBAH
