catchforusthefoxes
I don't know if I have the right weather condition but no matter how hard I turn I can't seem to get vapor to come off the wings like in most f 14 vids. I only see this effect coming off of the center of the plane from the intake. is there something I'm missing?
Steff Bourne
I think they are not implemented.
shagrat
They are implemented since early, access release. Settings maybe set to low details? Lower QNH to have less air pressure, temperature lower and you should have enough "moisture" to provoke condensation vapor from the wings. You may try higher altitude and keep in mind it's mostly about AoA of the wing, and not necessarily speed alone... Skysurfer
They are a bit too "faint" in most cases and could need some improvement. Having a sonic shock/pressure cone effect would also be quite nice.

I did everything you said and still got the same results, all my settings are maxed, and tried it on all maps with the recommended weather conditions, and still no wing vapors. maybe I'm still missing something? Also, I vaguely recall one of the devs mentioning a long, long time ago that the current vapor system can't handle variable sweep wings.

Nealius
Vapor over the wing gloves is modeled. Vapor over the wings themselves is not. 2 YouTube Channel: "Clutch" Z390 Aorus Elite | i5-9600k @4.7Ghz | RTX2070 | 32GB DDR4 | Windows 10 | Odyssey Plus | Warthog HOTAS | 20cm Extension
Cobra847
The vapour will be fully overhauled. We're just waiting for some functionality for the vapour location to be able to move with the wings. 4 Nicholas Dackard Founder & Lead Artist Heatblur Simulations https://www.facebook.com/heatblur/

WelshZeCorgi
Yeah, vapor seems half-done due to limitations of the engine.
