R-27ER Range

R27-ER has 80 miles (130km) range in real life, I have played 500 plus hours russian planes but i still think and always bugs me that the extended range series of r27 is most underpowered missile in DCS. May be drag ratio is high, Mach 4.5 speed this missile has at high altitude but still it never hit the target.

High altitude and high speed vs high altitude high speed target!

Its definitely underperforming but please stop quoting useless brochure values. They are typically Raero values at imparctically high speeds/altitudes. Use actual useful evidence, such as the R-27E DLZ charts:

I use only in game info and not google armchair expert infos! And the pictures, you fly head on vs Mig 31 3000/h, MiG 31 no reaction the shot, the missile hit the target!

That is NOT the actual capabilities of the missile, thats simply what the DLZ is programmed to show. I can edit that and change what the DLZ shows but the missile itself is unchanged.

Ask Chizh int the Ракеты в DCS topic, DLZ is correct. Many pilot shoot non maneuvering target range and go cry to forum missile is crap.

No DLZ is ever 100% correct. Period. Those numbers have nothing to do with the actual missile performance. I can set them to w/e I want and all that changes is the DLZ. IDC what the DLZ is programmed to show, all I care is what the missile is capable of. And if you look at the DLZ chart I posted, and you do some actual tests, you will find that a), the R-27 is indeed underperfoming, and b), the in game DLZ is a bit optimistic, and overestimates the RTR.
