LeffeS
:pilotfly:Hi. Using SAITEK X56 Throttle and Stick and SAITEK Rudder with Toe Brakes. Also using Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback with some of the helis and plane. Works perfect with all . Only P-47 seems to cause problem with my controllers. One need TOE BRAKES to take-off and taxi. For the moment have set button 7 and 5 on the sidewinder FF to LEFT TOE and RIGHT TOE brake. It works but it does NOT feel correct Anybody has same peoblem?? Thunderchief2000
Hi, what is the problem you are having with using the toe breaks on your rudder pedals? You don't say in your post. I've not had any problems with the toe breaks, if anything I would say that the Thunderbolt is the easiest warbird to taxi with the tail wheel unlocked. Cheers. BuzzU
Yes, use the toe brakes on your rudder pedals. What I wanted to say is you don't use the toe brakes to take off. Just use the rudder. Buzz
Art-J
Toe brakes are needed for takeoff only when one forgets to lock the tailwheel and the turbo kicks-in with enormous lag. Learned it the hard way :D. Otherwise there's nothing strange about the plane handling while on the ground. LeffeS, your description is way too vague, you'll have to be more specific about what the problem is. We don't know if it's about duplicated control assignments, wrong options ticked in "special settings" tab, wrong excepctations of someone who isn't familiar with DCS warbirds, or some other reason.
