Anyone seen the latest newsletter? Seems like the Hind has been delayed to Q2 2021.

Yes and seems to Apache will be at preorder and maybe even released before Hind. Really ridiculous...apache was announced a few weeks ago... I simply dont understand that...

Aren't the launchers on the Mi-24P screenshot from ED Igla launchers? Or are those Strela launchers?

The MI-24 is not carrying Igla or Strela anti-air missiles. Maybe we get the R-60 but i can't remember right now if this was confirmed and i'm a little disappointed that the Hind slipped into Q2 of 2021.

Did you read the newsletter?

"....The early access AH-64D is planned for release in the 3rd quarter of 2021 and will be available for pre-sales as of February 2021 with a 30% discount."

So maybe you will be able to pay for the Apache before the Hind but the Hind will be released before the Apache.

I always thought the green tubes on the outer plyon are A-A missile launchers. What are they then?

Of course I ret that. Mi24 was pushed many times and silence about it was so much that I not quite believe this. And I wrote "maybe even". My point is Apache will released in less than one year from annoucement. Hind a few years. This what I want to point at.
No offense to developers, I am sure they doing an awsome work.

Ah ok, i get that. I was just "correcting" before false rumors spread. No hard feelings. I was asking myself after reading the Q32021 for the Apache if a) they can hold that timeframe and b) if this AH-64 will be like the F-16 "release". The "Look how fast we can announce and deliver" approach with the F-16 went not that well.

Really, they've pushed back the hind so much now and have given us so little info over the last 2 years that I honestly wouldn't be surprised at this point if it comes out after the Apache

kinda bummed out too. It's my most anticipated module of all time. I was kinda hoping for a Feb release, but oh well. The clouds will help ease the pain 😄

Technically ED teased the AH-64(A?) back in 2008 or so.... 😉

Just joking, i get your point.

Correct, we may well add the Hind as a DCS module at a later point. Again... right now we can only commit to the Apache and Hog given those are already in development.

Well, I hope everyone is happy for "Pre-order in February".

Maybe we get Hind pre-order for end of January if Apache goes for February?

I think the Hind will come before the Apache. For sure the Apache is the money maker but the Hind has its own Digital Combat Simulator sub forum link... These only get put in place once a release is closer.

Although having said that the Mosquito is in the DCS header image of this forum and it does not have its own WWII sub forum link..... HHrrrrnnnn... perhaps I need to rethink my argument.

Hrrrnnnn double damn an Apache sub forum link is being created.

Triple Damn there is now a mosquito forum.... DOH!
