MemphisBelle
Hey Wags, would it be possible to receive some Information on the Huey Multicrew Development Status? Back in April we´ve got the Information in Kates DCS World roadmap update, that the Huey Multicrew is scheduled to be available in May 2020. This annoucement wasnt edited since then and today still says the same. Since we know that everything is subject to change we have to consider that announced things might not be available as planned or announced. But you guys always told us about that if an announced Module/Feature whatever would not be available as scheduled. Well, this is different for the Huey Multi Crew. We do not hear anything at all...theres dead silence. We hear nothings in the updates, not in the Newsletters and not in the Forums. I got Infos from the Community Managers that it´s been worked on by a Developer and as soon as he´s happy, we´ll get it...well that can mean everything from MultiCrew being available tomorrow or in 10 years. It´s really always a recurring disappointment to realize that it once again found no way into the newsletters, while we hear again and again about the Fighters and the WWII Stuff (which is great, dont get me wrong, I also apreciate the constant Map updates as well as your Videos like the Mi-24 sneak peak). So I kindly want to ask whether we can get some Information about the current ongoing status? How is it progressing, and most importantly when can we expect it to be available since we´re already 3 Month behind the planned release. avdheide
I have to second the question MemphisBelle is asking. For the Multiplayer Huey flyers this would really be a game changer. One of the points why I purchased the Huey was the prommise of multicrew. I never have been able to use it and really want this still not included feature for this module. So any news good or bad is HIGHLY appreciated
RePhil
I also support MemphisBelle on this. We at BSD played with it for a day or so on the "ACCEDENTAL RELEASE" and were impressed with it as it was since then nothing [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Window 10, i9-9900,2080TI, 32GB ram Puma Pro Flight Trainer, 2 x 1TB WB SSD NVMe HP Reverb
molevitch
Hear, Hear, Memphis! The rotary wing community are crying out for this enhancement to what are already great and much appreciated helo modules, not just the Huey. There is a large but less vocal rotary wing community who are massive supporters of ED/DCS, and we all appreciate the work that has gone into all the existing RW modules, and are even more excited about the several modules in active development. In my case, especially the Mi-24, I am literally losing sleep in anticipation of its release. The low altitude level of detail going into the Syria map suggests that it is very much oriented towards helicopter flying, and we are all hyped for that release too. So please let us have some update news on the multi-crew development for the Huey, and presumably other RW craft! QuiGon
I too am wondering about that for a while. Unfortunately ED has gone very silent on the topic. Not just for the Huey, but they have also avoided giving any answer if the Hind will have multicrewing from the beginning :( Last official word on the matter (that I know of): We have been very open about missing our initial estimation for multi crew, the dev is working on it, there have been some challenges with synchronisation but work is progressing. I wont give you a time line yet, we all know things are subject to change when it comes to time line estimates. thank you Edited August 12, 2020 by QuiGon Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! zoupou
I totally agree. It's going to be a gamechanger for us chopperheads, so we would really appreciate any info on the subject. We spent our time and money on something we really love, cause you have done a great job and we really support you, so I think we deserve to know guys. P.S. We expect more from you as far as it concerns helicopters in general. I know that airplanes are more at the center of the interest as they attract more people and money, but there is also a big community of people flying specifically choppers and I believe that if they got more attention, this community would grow bigger. (I know it's a bit off topic, but I had to say it)

BaD CrC
+1 for Memphis. DCS RW community is a very resilient one as we understand how much of a minority (/elite :-P) we are, but a little update on something as important for choppers as multicrew would go a long way for us! ED Team NineLine Posted August 12, 2020 ED Team Share Posted August 12, 2020 Hey all, sorry for the lack of updates on this. It is currently being tested by our Closed Beta team and has performed well. While it is currently in the Release Candidate for the next Open Beta, it isn't 100% set in stone that it will be in the next patch, it depends on how the next couple days go with testing. I am hopeful though that you guys will have it very soon. Thanks for the patience and support. de.Impact
Great to hear. An idea i had: Wouldnt it be nice if you could highlight instruments / directions to the other human pilot in a shared cockpit ? The equivalent of pointing on an instrument basically, maybe with the icons from the tutorials ?

Alpenwolf
Great news! ... and while we're at it, can I safely assume that basically all helicopters will have multicrew enabled in them? My Mi-8 as well, please? I wouldn't mind being the co-pilot or even the flight engineer for a whole flight. In fact, I'd love to. (Forgive my Mi-8 wish trespassing around here, please) As always, Godspeed, ED!
