Hello. Im findign somehow big errors in the persian gulf map.

 

 

For example, if the Busher area. The hole city is missing. Also, in this area, there is an islan very close to the shore, Kharg Island. That Island , you can see it in the mission editor ONLY if you select the MAP view, but if you select the SAT or ALT view, the island is not there.

Main problem with this is that in the Busher area, the re is suposed to be a military airfield, and that airfield is not in the mission editor either.

 

 

Is it planned a review of persian Gulf? there are more errors like this around, like:

 

 

.- Missing Firuzabad military/civil airfielf

.- There are suposed to e 3 airfields in Isfahan

.- Kashan airport is also used for military and it is not in the map

.- Kharg island airfiel

.- Masjed Soleyman Airbase

.- Omidiyeh Combined Mil/Civ airfield

There's a lot of civil areas and smaller airfields that are present in reality that will probably not be represented in DCS any time soon, such as many of the smaller fields between Lar and Shiraz. Anything north of Shiraz and Kerman are definitely not going to be represented any time soon, the map is meant to be focused on the Straight of Hormuz, not Iran. Anything west of Lavan or Abu Dhabi isn't really part of the focus. You could say the same thing about areas eastward towards the Gulf of Oman, such as Muscat or Konarak, or Qatar and Bahrain in the west, but they're not the areas the map is intended for. That said, it's entirely possible that content may come down the line in the future that fills in these gaps, and I will be more than happy to be wrong.

 

The same can be said for every map in DCS honestly. Take Caucasus for example. The east end of the map extends into infinity, even though you should reach Azerbaijan and the Caspian Sea, and a massive chunk of the northern coast of Turkey is there, but not modeled. Those areas are not the focus of the Caucasus region. Or the upcoming Syria map, in which Cyprus will pretty much not be included.

 

Perhaps some number of years in the future if ED manages to incorporate their desire for the entire world for DCS, with high-detailed areas represented by the maps that currently exist, we might see more areas modeled, even if they're not high-detail. At the moment though, we have plenty of space to utilize.
