[CORRECT AS IS] ILS for Airfield don't work with Hornet?

Hi

 

Am i right in saying the ILS codes the Hornet use are only for landing on Carriers and only 2 digits as opposed to the traditional airfield ones i used to use in the A-10C? Therefore you can't use ILS to land at Airfields??

The DCS FA-18 does not have any ILS equipment in the airplane. The confusion may come from the ICLS equipment in the airplane and the fact that cockpit text labels this ICLS equipment "ILS".

 

ILS equipment operates on completely different signals, for one part ILS is ~100 MHz and ICLS is ~15,000 MHz.
