BarTzi
On the map of Syria, special attention is paid to military infrastructure facilities. More than 20 military bases, military training grounds and even military universities have been reconstructed in detail on the map: Al Safira Military Base Durayhim Military Base Al-Assad Military Academy SAA 1st Armoured Division SAA 4th Armoured Division SAA 7th Division SAA 10th Mechanized Division SAA 65th Tank Brigade SAA 67th Artillery Brigade SAA 89th Brigade SAA 100th Regiment SAA 121th Brigade SAA 128th Brigade SAA 155th Artillery Regiment SAA 156th Brigade SAA 158th Brigade SAA 165th Brigade SyADF 24th Brigade SyADF 150th Regiment SyADF 159th Regiment Amiad military base Netafim military base Zfat military base King Hussein Air College All this makes it possible to create interesting detailed scenarios tied to the historical events of peaceful life and military clashes that took place in this territory. SAA 100th Regiment Hi MAESTR0, to fully appreciate the work you guys have done here, will you consider releasing an overlay of the map showing the locations of the bases and unique buildings (turists attractions and so on) that were added to this map? MAESTR0
On the map of Syria, the war started thousands of years ago and has not stopped here since. Even today, in the 21st century, the territories of the Middle East represent an arena of armed confrontation between different states and national and political entities. Therefore, in developing the map, special attention was paid to military aspects. Last week, we published a list of military bases and screenshots of several of them. This time we show models of destruction of urban, industrial and airfield facilities. This result should make the missions on the map of Syria particularly interesting and spectacular. Yurgon
It's almost terrifying how much that looks like images that we see in the news way too often. I'm a bit hesitant to say it looks "great" or "stunning", but it certainly shows the level of detail poured into this map. Is this static damage, or can objects be damaged via triggers and/or weapon effects? Edited August 8, 2020 by Yurgon

YSIAD_RIP
Very happy I purchased this map already..... Keep cooking up those textures and damage models. I spent the last few days just playing with Texture Mods on the Caucasus map - I can only imagine what the future has in store for this amazing Syria Map. Thanks! flanker1
this is truly amazing, outstanding and unbelievable from the point of view what was possible several years ago. . . but: i really hope to see finally and with this quality a cold war theatre which took place in the eighties with accurate modelled and equiped soviet airbases / aerodromes, like the ones seen in the syria map. but soviet ones, with all their specficas. maybe a gdr/western germany (absolutely prefered theatre) or baltics. in my opinion the ultimative playground and sandbox for dcs and it s story and depth of simulation. . . so please ugra, maybe you can take the spririt and effort to do this after syria, which is a first day buy for me. . .
YSIAD_RIP
Over the years, I have seen several excellent Terrain Mods for the Caucasus Map. Has Urga Media considered making Syria map easier to mod? The best would be the ability to make changes in the Saved Games Folder. If not, would you consider releasing some suggestions on how to make changes to some elements like buildings or ground texture or even trees? (I already own the map, I am just thinking of future growth longterm adoption) Do not own: | F-15E | JF-17 | Fw 190 A-8 | Bf 109 | Hardware: [ - Ryzen7-5800X - 32GB - RX 6800 - X56 HOTAS Throttle - WINWING Orion 2 F16EX Grip - TrackIR 5 - Tobii 5C - JetPad FSE - ]

MAESTR0
More than 500 airfield, industrial and residential buildings were specially created for the map of Syria. This allows you to convey the specifics of the architecture of Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey, to recreate in detail the cities of these countries, industry and airfields. During the development of the map of Syria, special attention was paid to the reconstruction of the original modern and historical objects. More than 100 original structures and objects have been reconstructed in detail. Today we publish screenshots of some of them.
