Two weeks ago, a large group of ISIL-supported troops captured multiple airbases and a large amount of sophisticated military equipment in the South-eastern region of Iran in an attempt to further their goal of creating a Middle-Eastern caliphate. Intelligence also suggests that two major stores of additional material have been spotted. ISIL's power is already affecting the local population and all attempts to solve this matter diplomatically have been in vain. As a result, Iranian forces have conducted multiple strike missions and land assaults to liberate affected areas. Due to the sophisticated and advanced weapon systems now in the hands of ISIL, these strikes have failed. Last week, the Iranian government reached out to NATO for assistance. In response, NATO immediately began the preparation of Operation Desert Nightmare, and a joint task force of US and British forces, under the moniker 'Task Force Spartan' has been dispatched to help liberate the captured territory. Our unit is part of that task force. Specialist units are already in the area gathering further intelligence for mission planning, supported by two military satellites that already overlook the region. Despite this, unfavorable weather has prevented the acquisition of useful satellite images at the current time. That is all for now, we depart tonight. Latest information Over the last few days, our forces have been working tirelessly building our temporary US/UK base to accommodate our planned assault of the south east of Iran. The final preparations are now being made, to ensure we have a continuous supply of munition and other resources. Unfortunately, the latest update from our intelligence officers suggests insurgents are capturing Qeshm Island. This is a strategic point and must be re-captured at all costs.
