F18 Saitek toe brake don't work

I need help please. I can get a toe brake assigned to the rudder pedals in the options menu, but the brakes don't work on the F18. My saitek toe brakes recognizing the action, but it doesn't brake on the F18. I have tried many things but to no avail. Works very well on all other planes, including on F18 in the past. I'm doing something wrong and I can't see it. Any help will be highly appreciated

I thought what I was doing wrong. In the Gameplay option the game avionics mode must be unchecked. That was a mistake that I can't explain
