Rudel_chw
Hello, I was curious to see how closely the Cold Start of our DCS Viper could follow the official manual of the real thing. Turns out that it can be pretty close. I made this into a training mission, so that anyone can try to experience the procedure real Viper pilots have to follow. The official procedure is quite terse when stating each step of the cold start, so I added some background info on each system as appropiate, to better understand what each switch and step does .. the downside is that this mission can take about 40 minutes to complete, sorry about that. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3309476/ Here is a video showing how the mission goes, so you can see before you try it yourselves: I've made similar missions before, for the JF-17 and the C-101CC, but I truly didnt expect how much more lengthy the F-16 Procedure is .. no wonder no one bothers doing all the startup checks I really hope ED will add the ability to enable failures soon, so that these checks can have more meaning Best regards, Eduardo Edited September 27, 2022 by Rudel_chw Fixed YT link 2 2 For work: iMac mid-2010 of 27" - Core i7 870 - 6 GB DDR3 1333 MHz - ATI HD5670 - SSD 256 GB - HDD 2 TB - macOS High Sierra For Gaming: 34" Monitor - Ryzen 3600X - 32 GB DDR4 2400 - nVidia GTX1070ti - SSD 1.25 TB - HDD 10 TB - Win10 Pro - TM HOTAS Cougar - Oculus Rift CV1 Mobile: iPad Pro 12.9" of 256 GB
