Etirion
I thought the German Air Force had started upgrading to Captor-E? But yes, indeed other customers still use the mechanical scanned one, which is still pretty much the best non-AESA radar in the world. The first Typhoons with CAPTOR-E are the ones for Kuwait: https://www.eurofighter.com/news-and-events/2019/12/first-flight-of-eurofighter-in-kuwait-air-force-configuration-takes-place-the-most-advanced-variant-of-eurofighter-ever-flown Not sure if its started to be delivered to the Luftwaffe yet but it should be close

QuiGon
I thought the German Air Force had started upgrading to Captor-E? Only plannings so far. The new german Tranche 3 Eurofighters are still equipped with the mechanical radar. Exorcet
Just as I was getting comfortable in the F-16. This should be a great module. QuiGon
We are getting a modern western fly-by-wire multirole aircraft. Yay... Not necessarily. If it will be another Tranche 1 Eurofighter (like the one VEAO was working on) then it will have pretty much no multi role capabilities at all and will be a pure fighter. Intel i7-12700K @ 8x5GHz+4x3.8GHz + 32 GB DDR5 RAM + Nvidia Geforce RTX 2080 (8 GB VRAM) + M.2 SSD + Windows 10 64Bit DCS Panavia Tornado (IDS) really needs to be a thing! Aernov
I just wish I could do this in something that has red stars on it, and letters like "Su" or MiG", or even "Tu" in its name. Or in something that requires more attention to stick and rudder operations than "just pull it" for a manoeuvre like that.
TLTeo
So, modern western winged computer with less capabilities than the ones we already have? Even less yay then. Even a Tranche 1 would have far more air to air capabilities than anything in DCS. MrDieing
For those wondering, this is not the eagerly awaited module they mentioned earlier this year. BN confirmed that in the thread in the Chit Chat section. ''Greed is a bottomless pit which exhausts the person in an endless effort to satisfy the need without ever reaching satisfaction.''
