Hi all,    Patch will be a little later than usual but is still planned for today.    thanks   New changes still in testing so it will be next year now for Syria work.

update is live on steam, stand alone will follow shortly

Not by choice, it’s called being married with a small child. 😂😂😂   Sadly the restrictions have been placed on me by the higher power. ( my wife ) 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

2.5.6.58125 Open Beta

With the new Hotfix consumption on the Syrian ram map has skyrocketed. I believe the DCS has a memory leak. DCS was running the map of Syria. I am not using any type of modification in DCS.

I've had 2 game crashes recently (in the last few day's) when approaching the Supercarrier for landing, always after a reasonably long flight which included AAR. First time was in the F14, second last night was in a Hornet. Always at the same stage, shortly after contacting the boat and just after the "See you at 10" call, always after a long flight. Both flights were on the Caucasus map and on multiplayer servers. After last nights flight I saved the crash log and sent it to ED via the in game option which pops up following a crash.

I wonder if this has something to do with a possible memory leak too?.

System :-

i7-7820X, ASUS ROG Strix X229, 32GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3600MHz, 11GB Nvidia Geforce 1080Ti, 1x 500GB Samsung 850 EVO, 1x 1TB Samsung 850 EVO, 1x 500GB Samsung 960 EVO M.2, Windows 10. VPC WarBRD Base with HOTAS Warthog Stick and Throttle, Saitek combat rudder pedals, Oculus Rift S.

I think 17GB isn't too bad when you have 32GB installed. As long as DCS doesn't crash from that I'd say it does what it should - make use of our hardware. The real thing is that it should communicate with Windows so it won't get crashed due to running OOM. But I don't want to have 32GB installed and only like 5-8GB being used with the thing constantly loading up content producing stutters.

BTW totally didn't expect the update at all, even yesterday the Patch thread was saying TBA before it dropped, which I only saw now for the first time.

Hardly the answer for solving these bugs. Some of them have been here quite some time and they appear time to time again.
