TM Cougar replacement parts

FETUS

Recommended Posts

Hey all. Got burned by an Ebay Seller on a Cougar HOTAS setup. Did a horrible job packing it and the VHF/UHF Antenna switch broke clean off.

Anyone know if TM still sells parts for it? In process of a PayPal/Ebay Dispute but just wanted to see if it can be repaired.

Thanks.

Take it from somebody who knows.

Thrustmaster does not support the Cougar system anymore in any way, shape, or form.

My roll gimbal snapped in half the other night and I have been going crazy looking for a replacement part.

Take small drill bit (1 - 1.5 mm) and make a hole in middle of part inside cap (HAT) and in part that remain in grip.

Put a suitable length of steel wire in the hole, fix with CA. Same in the cap (HAT).

I fix the same HAT in F22PRO TQS in that way.

I saw that.

Impressive but Damn!! :shocking:

That would probably take me an entire weekend to do and with my luck nothing would fit right.

Wouldn't mind if it was just replacing the mechanical parts but you start getting into the electrical and adding contact magnets.

It's something I would only want to do as a project stick on the side while I still have my original to use.

I JUST WANNA FLY!!! :cry_2:

Debolestis also has HAT Switches shafts, should be able to replace yours with a little work if you need.

Thanks, I just shipped it back to the seller to deal with. Will keep that in mind when I get another!
