BitMaster
3600CL16 or 3200 CL14 is a sweetspot. They have about the same latency, however, the 3600CL16 has a bit more bandwidth. Whichever has a better price was my choice Gigabyte Aorus X570S Master - Ryzen 5900X - Gskill 64GB 3200/CL14@3600/CL14 - Asus 1080ti EK-waterblock - 4x Samsung 980Pro 1TB - 1x Samsung 870 Evo 1TB - 1x SanDisc 120GB SSD - Heatkiller IV - MoRa3-360LT@9x120mm Noctua F12 - Corsair AXi-1200 - TiR5-Pro - Warthog Hotas - Saitek Combat Pedals - Asus PG278Q 27" QHD Gsync 144Hz - Corsair K70 RGB Pro - Win11 Pro/Linux - Phanteks Evolv-X
DerFangzahn
Check if the Geil RAM is compatible with your board. I heard a few bad stories about Geil.

Beirut
Your build will be very close to my future build. Good economy build that will perform. I need the new CPU and MB. A 3600 might be the one. I bought the 2060 Super for the extra 2GB of RAM (8 instead of 6) a few months back. If you have the cash it might be a good idea. I'm glad I did. Can't have too much video card RAM as I understand it. The 8GB 2060 Super devastates(!) the 3GB 1060 I had. If you can, the most video card RAM you can afford. Some of the planes, but all of the maps!
Maddog69
Hello all, This is pretty much onboard with this thread. My question is: If you had 4 grand to build a new system. what would you build? I want VR for sure. I am looking at a Pmax 8k I also want to play ALL flight sims that use VR and are similar or better to DCS World. Thanks all! Cy-27
RTX 2060 is a little low because of its 6GB VRAM. It is not enough for DCS World 1080P. You need a RTX 2060Super, 8GB VRAM. It is worth it.
