[RESOLVED]Open Beta Crash on startup. BREAKPOINT

Castor Troy

Recommended Posts

So, I updated the open beta of the game. After it updated, the game would say it could not find the exe. After some research, and unistalling and reinstalling on horrendous download speeds,it was my firewall preventing me from opening the game. \

So I run the repair with the AV disabled, it now opens, but when I try to log in, I get this message.

"Unfortunately DCS crashed. Allow DCS to gather addition debut info using the dxdiag.exe?"

This is what I am getting. I am extremely frustrated with the situation, as I have been trying to solve it for the last 12 hours, downloading and reinstalling. Updating the game, like I have times before, should NOT give me or anyone this much frustration. I am pissed off to say the least.

Any ideas on what this could be. I sent about 5-6 reports in.

Same issue here.

As soon as I log in it crashes. I did send a crash report the first time it happened.

Just tried the stable version and it runs fine. The Open beta ran great yesterday, so something broke for me on this update. I tried running a repair but to no avail.

I can get into the game without logging in, but I cannot use the few hundred dollars worth of modules and terrains I have purchased over the past year, since I can't log in.

Uninstalled, AGAIN, for the fourth time, and trying to redownload everything again. With no AV whatsoever. I even uninstalled A/V until I get thru this fiasco. The very slow d/l times do not help the situation either.

[REPORTED]Open Beta Crash on startup.

Following todays update (DCS Openbeta 2.5.6.43872) whenever I try to load the game it crashes shortly after the login window.

Tried a repair but no luck. It asks me for permission to send a crash report, and I have sent two so far.

Just tried the stable version and this runs fine. The Open Beta ran fine for me prior to todays update.

EDIT

I cleared the fxo and Metashaders files in the saved games folder prior to update too, but I always do this before any update anyway so unlikely cause?

Also it looks like others are having a similar issue.
