Persian Gulf overloads my GPU so much only 11 FPS

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is this happening to anyone else? OIn every occasion now, if I load the Persian Gulf scenery, within 10-20 seconds on fpsvr, the GPU goes solid red and I only get 11 FPS, with unmanageable flickering... and so I have to shut it down. I've even reinstalled the PG module but no changes.

Anyone else had the same thing?

No problem here with the PG map.

You might try a Repair of DCS.

Where are you seeing this? Not Ready on the Ramp (sitting at the side of the runway before take off) is it?

No, i start PG in free flight in the F-16 and i get a massive GPU overload as soon as i select cockpit view... Its not 100% but its at least 80% of the time i would say...

Sorry for the crap quality. I have prescription lenses in place but hopefully you can see the state of the feedback from fpsVR

You can capture fpsVR from the desktop as it has a window there. Just do a screen grab. Still, I see your problem!

Please do a cleanup and repair or verify for steam users.

make sure windows, your gpu, and your vr device are up to date.

test dcs

Then attach your dcs log from your saved games dcs log folder

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS\Logs

it should give us some clues

I think the flyVR panel says 100% SS. Annoyingly, the overlay on the computer screen has now disappeared and i cant get it back

What I could discern from your HMD output you are using a good bit of your VRAM (7 out of 8 GB) and regular RAM for that matter. What Pixel Density (and possibly supersampling) are you using along with antialiasing?

Its a bit hard to be sure of the values seen/blurred, but I have been at around 10.6(of 11Gb) and 26 (out of 32Gb) without any problems at all and smooth gaming at 45fps(reprojected) or 90fps. It might be a small part of the problem but not the main source of trouble.

Oculus Rift S Frame drop Persian Gulf 2.5.6

Just finished a session on Operation Snowfox single player- this mission on User files..

I have experienced frame rates of around 10 FPS when on ground at Khasab and Rays-al-Khaimah

These low frame rates linger for a few minutes and then recover.

Looked in my log folder but nothing appears for today’s date...am I missing something when it comes to the naming of these files?

If I send a track is that any use?

My system is i7 8700k at 3.5ghz, Aorus z390 Master-CF motherboard, 32 Gb DDR4 (1066MHz) and a 2080Ti.
