Neil Gardner Posted February 7, 2020 Share Posted February 7, 2020 I was just wondering whether the AV-8b Has a facility for carrying a greater range of A2A missiles in real life or whether what we have constitiutes the whole of what that aircraft is capable of. The later Harrier Plus versions had a radar (APG-65 I believe) that would support the AMRAAM. Mars Exulte Posted February 8, 2020 Share Posted February 8, 2020 Yep, not having a radar puts the kaybosh on most missiles, and the US only uses Sidewinders, so not sure why this is surprising. There are multiple variants, and some DO have more A2A, but not THIS variant which is a hardcore mudmover.
